About To Be
Speech Pathology
At To Be Allied Health, we believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and become who they want to be.
Our work is guided by a simple focus: supporting children to build confidence, skills, and independence in a way that feels safe and meaningful to them.
Transforming speech therapy
To Be Allied Health was founded by Speech Pathologist and educator Mia McConnachie.
Mia holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, a Master of Speech Pathology, and a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, and has worked across early learning settings and schools. Her experience gives her a strong understanding of how children develop and learn best in real-world environments.
While we currently provide speech pathology services for children and young people aged 0–18 years, Mia’s vision for To Be Speech Pathology is much bigger. She hopes to create a truly integrated service where families can access all the supports they need in one place.
Led by experience and heart
Mia’s approach is both clinical and deeply personal. She is passionate about creating therapy that is evidence-based, family-centred, and engaging for children. She places strong value on genuine relationships, believing progress happens when children feel comfortable, supported, and understood.
